Phase 1: Audit &Pre-Confirmation of Assessment
In this critical phase, we focus on early engagement and risk management to resolve issues before a formal tax assessment is issued.
Our Support at this phase include:
- Attending initial meetings with KRA to agree on the audit scope and process
- Coordinating with your management and KRA officers throughout the audit
- Reviewing and organizing documents required by KRA
- Responding to audit queries and providing legal and technical analysis of KRA’s findings
- Attending exit meetings and advising on how to respond to preliminary findings
- Evaluating KRA’s draft position and negotiating on your behalf where appropriate
Phase 2: Dispute Resolution
Where audit matters remain unresolved, we support you in pursuing Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) mechanisms.
Our role in this phase include:
- Drafting and submitting objection letters or appeal notices
- Preparing settlement proposals and documentation
- Attending ADR meetings with KRA and following through to final resolution
